Itinerary – Day by Day
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Transfer to Usa River (Arusha)
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to Kiboko Lodge, a charming eco-lodge nestled in the foothills of Mount Meru in Usa River. The peaceful forest setting is ideal for relaxation after your journey.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari begins as you head to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees, massive elephant herds, and diverse game. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and take in the beauty of this underrated gem.
Wildlife highlights: Elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, and more.

Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu
Depart Tarangire and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but picturesque park at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Spot flamingos on the lake, monkeys in the forest, and if lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue to Karatu for overnight.

Day 4: Karatu – Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
Today you journey into the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enter the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate and enjoy game drives as you head deeper into the savannah.

Day 5 & 6: Full Days in Serengeti National Park
Spend two exciting days exploring the Central and Northern Serengeti, depending on the location of the Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal from June to October in the north, and December to March in the south). Marvel at endless herds of wildebeest, zebra, and predators in action.
Optional: Add a hot air balloon safari at sunrise.

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After a morning game drive, depart for the Ngorongoro Highlands. On the way, visit a traditional Maasai village or stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind.”

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
Early in the morning, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a vast caldera and home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Enjoy a full-day game drive in this natural wonder, and possibly spot the rare black rhino.
Wildlife highlights: Lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, hyenas, buffalo, and flamingos.

Day 9: Karatu – Cultural Activities or Coffee Tour – Arusha
After breakfast, visit a local coffee plantation or participate in a cultural tour in the Karatu area. Learn about Tanzania’s rural life and traditional farming practices. Then return to Arusha for your final evening.

Day 10: Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping before your guide transfers you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
